With a background in interior design, home accessories retailing and having trained in upholstery techniques, Katharine Crawford handcrafts upholstered headboards at her home workshop overlooking the scenic hills surrounding Loch Lomond, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Katharine takes inspiration from her surroundings and offers a range of headboard styles in a wide selection of high quality fabrics, including plains, patterns and plaids.

Passion for interior design

After taking a career break to raise a family, Katharine decided to pursue her passion for interior design and soft furnishings. Having completed an Interior Design course with the National Design Academy in Nottingham, Katharine undertook several interior design commissions for family and friends. Katharine also owned a Home Accessories shop for several years.

More recently, Katharine has trained in upholstery techniques at the City of Glasgow College. She has undertaken several projects, including reupholstering items of furniture and creating bespoke headboards for clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

Encouraged by the positive response to these projects, Katharine is now offering her custom made upholstered headboards online.
